Qualifications:
- A minimum of GCSE grades or equivalent is generally required for this role but is possible with other academic qualifications.
- Preferred certifications include Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) in Adobe Premiere or Adobe After Effects, Apple Certified Pro in Final Cut Pro, and Blackmagic Design Certified Training in DaVinci Resolve.
- While possessing these certifications is not mandatory, candidates who hold them will be given preference in the selection process.
Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Cinematographer.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, catering to a diverse customer base.
- Mastery of camera operation, including knowledge of different camera systems, lenses, and accessories.
- Understanding of exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and other technical aspects of photography and cinematography.
- Familiarity with lighting techniques and equipment to achieve desired moods and aesthetics.
- Sensitivity to the emotional dynamics of a scene and the ability to capture authentic performances and expressions.
- Hands-on with equipment to overcome technical challenges or limitations during shoots.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management skills to plan and execute shoots within tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of clients and team members during shoots, especially when working with equipment or in challenging environments.
Responsibilities:
The Cinematographer & Data Manager will be responsible for:
- Capture high-quality footage for a variety of projects, including South Asian weddings, music videos, commercials, and production photography.
- Collaborate closely with the creative team to understand client requirements, project objectives, and creative vision for each shoot.
- Plan and execute camera setups, lighting arrangements, and shot compositions to achieve desired visual aesthetics and storytelling objectives.
- Adapt cinematography techniques and styles to suit the unique cultural and artistic preferences of South Asian clientele.
- Maintain a flexible approach to accommodate the dynamic nature of live events, such as weddings, while capturing key moments and emotions with sensitivity and authenticity.
- Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and emerging techniques in cinematography to continually enhance the quality and creativity of work.
- Establish and maintain efficient data management systems and workflows to organize, catalog, and archive digital assets, including raw footage, edited content, and project files.
- Ensure data security and integrity by implementing backup procedures, redundancy measures, and data encryption protocols to protect against loss, corruption, or unauthorized access.
- Collaborate with post-production teams, editors, and clients to manage data exchange, version control, and review processes throughout the editing and revision stages of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of project timelines, deliverables, and client specifications to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
